Maintain Security Controls
Maintaining appropriate security controls on all physical and virtual systems hosting Transend Migration Console and Remote Agents is critical. Components deployed by Transend may process authentication credentials, service account information, OAuth tokens, or other configuration data that could provide access to organizational data.
To protect data and maintain compliance with organizational and platform security requirements, all systems, directories, configuration files and logs associated with Transend software should be restricted to authorized administrative personnel only and secured in accordance with industry-standard access control, endpoint protection, and system hardening practices.
The following directories should be restricted to authorized personnel only:
C:\ProgramData\Transend
C:\Users\ < admin >\AppData\Roaming\Transend Migration Console
Detect Tampering
Validate the integrity and authenticity of installed executables by generating cryptographic hash values for each file and comparing the results against approved hash values. This verification process helps confirm that the binaries have not been modified, tampered with, or corrupted following distribution.
