DNS Record Updates

During your scheduled Cutover, either your DNS admin or Transend will log into your DNS registrar to update your DNS records. The responsible party is defined in your Project Plan.

If your Project Plan defines that Transend will update DNS records at Cutover, the following DNS records are updated by Transend:

  • MX
  • TXT (SPF)
  • CNAME
  • Auodiscover (Microsoft 365 only)
  • DMARC (Google Workspace & Microsoft 365 targets only)
    • Policy will be set to none by default (with the value as ‘v=DMARC1; p=none’)
  • DKIM (Google Workspace & Microsoft 365 targets only)
    • Note: Google Workspace targets may take up to 24-48 hours to authenticate/propagate
