Project Types
Transend offers two different Express Migration Services Project Types, which come at different price points due to the service labor involved. The Standard Project Type comes at a lower price point than the Advanced Project Type, and the fees for each are defined in your proposal.

Which Project Type is right for me?
The Advanced Project Type includes consulting and engineering services related to object provisioning that are not included in Standard. Transend will generate a report of all objects that exist in the source platform and make recommendations about how they should be created in the target. Once a provisioning plan has been defined, Transend will use proprietary tools to create those objects in the target.
Why might I need Advanced?
The Advanced Project Type can be helpful for the following reasons:
-
You want Transend to create an exact replica of your source environment in the target tenant, but are unsure of all the objects that currently exist in the source. You want to ensure no objects are forgotten!
-
You want to use this migration as an opportunity to “clean things up” so that the target is set up in a smarter way, with better organization. You want to leverage the target architecture the way it was designed to be used.
-
All your source accounts are provisioned as User accounts, but you’re unsure which is the right object type for them in the target.
-
You want Transend’s advice how to save money on monthly Microsoft or Google licensing. Do you have select User accounts that can be provisioned in the target as objects that don’t require a license (such as a Group or Shared mailbox)?
-
You don’t fully understand the target platform’s capabilities, and want guidance to ensure you’re following “best practices” when setting up your target platform.
-
You don’t know what you don’t know! Guidance from a senior migration expert provides peace of mind that you’ll start off in the new platform on a positive note!
How can I be confident Standard is right for me?
If you only have a handful of user accounts, or don’t have any non-user objects that need to be provisioned (i.e Groups, Distribution Lists, Resources, Shared objects) then the Standard Project Type should meet your needs.
Under the Standard Project Type, the customer will populate a User List template that Transend provides. Transend will then provision all User accounts defined in the list as User mailboxes. No provisioning of any other objects beyond User accounts is included in the Standard Project Type.
