Item Counts
Because the mailbox inventory process is performed prior to actual data processing, expected item counts may not always match the number of items processed. Following the inventory phase, the number of items in a folder can change based on mailbox use during the migration.
Some examples include:
- New mail arrives into the Inbox
- Items are moved from one folder to another
- Items are deleted
Transend suggests instructing users not to move or delete items once the migration of their mailbox has been scheduled. New items that arrive will be migrated during a delta run of email after the initial pre-cutover migration.
