Microsoft SharePoint Provisioning
Transend can programmatically provision Shared Drives in Microsoft SharePoint as a service.
What is Supported?
Transend supports provisioning of Microsoft 365 Shared Drives with Membership permissions. Communication and Team Sites are supported (which are the two choices you have by default when creating a Site in the SharePoint UI). These are the two modern Site types promoted by Microsoft. While legacy types are available from Microsoft, they are not currently supported by Transend. All four of the Site Membership permissions are supported (Admin, Owner, Member, Visitor). Removing permissions is not currently supported.
Note: Any requested functionality not currently supported or advertised as supported by Transend is considered an enhancement and may require additional development fees.
Use Cases
The following provisioning scenarios are supported:
Microsoft 365 to Microsoft 365
All Microsoft 365 Shared Drives are exported from the source tenant. If each Site has exactly one Document Library, these will be provisioned as-is into the target tenant. If a Site has more than one Document Library, Transend will work with the customer to provide the best target mapping while working within the confines of Transend’s current tooling functionality.
Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace
Same as the Microsoft 365 to Microsoft 365 scenario.
Google Workspace to Microsoft 365
All Google Workspace Shared Drives are exported from the source tenant and imported as-is into the target tenant.
Other
Transend will work with the customer to provide the best target mapping while working within the confines of Transend’s current tooling functionality.
