Item Counts
Because the mailbox inventory process is performed prior to actual dataprocessing, expected item counts may not always match the number of itemsprocessed. Following the inventory phase, the number of items in a folder canchange based on mailbox use during the migration.
Some examples include:
- New mail arrives into the Inbox
- Items are moved from one folder to another
- Items are deleted
Transend suggests instructing users not to move or delete items once themigration of their mailbox has been scheduled. New items that arrive will bemigrated during a delta run of email after the initial pre-cutover migration.
